Home Remedies To Treat Knee Pain

  • Use the cayenne pepper


This is one of the types of natural painkiller as it contains capsaicin which helps in reducing the pain. You can use the cayenne pepper with olive oil. Then massage it on the affected area to get relief.


  • Use cold therapy


On the affected area apply some ice cubes and gently press the area for about 20 minutes. It will reduce the swelling and it will help you to get relief.


  • Ginger


Ginger is considered as one of the best ayurvedic medicine for knee pain. Apply it on the affected area and its inflammatory properties will help to get relief. You can also consume raw ginger instead of applying it on the knee.


  • Coconut Oil


Use extra virgin coconut oil on the affected area. Let it dry on its own or rinse it off after 30 minutes. You can apply oil several times a day.


  • Fenugreek seeds


It also contains anti-inflammatory properties that will help in reducing the pain. Soak one teaspoon of seeds overnight in a glass of water. Then next day soak the water. You can make a paste and apply it on the affected area and do this daily.


  • Lemon


Lemon contains Citric acid which is best to reduce pain. Rub it on the affected area for at least ten minutes. You can also apply sesame oil on the lemon and then apply it on the knees. You can apply this every day to get rid of the pain.


  • Turmeric


Multiple studies have shown that turmeric is very beneficial as it contains Curcumin which acts an anti-inflammatory compound. Take a warm glass of milk and add one teaspoon of turmeric in it. You can drink this at least two times a day.


  • Mustard Oil


Mustard oil also helps in getting relief from pain and reduces inflammation. Apply it one of knees and massage for some time. You can add a clove of chopped garlic into the oil. You can repeat whenever you feel it is necessary.
